Summit Outdoor Leadership formally began with three couples praying & planning in a little cabin in the Ozark Mountains on New Year’s Eve 2021. This time together affirmed a calling the Lord had put on each of our hearts, so proceeding in faith as a team came naturally.
Having seen each other lead & serve in other ministry contexts, we knew we were being drawn together for something big, but it took those five days in the mountains for it to coalesce into an organization.
We formally incorporated in March of 2022, & since then have designed & led dozens of practical skill, leadership, & spiritual development courses. From half-day CPR & First-Aid certifications to week-long wilderness adventures, God has done incredible things!
We know what it’s like to be leaders who are discouraged, isolated, & ill-equipped. But we also know what it’s like to be supported, empowered, & confident. Because of our joint experiences & training, we’re passionate about providing experiences for our participants that transfer beyond themselves to impact the world around them for the better. We’re here to help you elevate your leadership & change the world.

We do this in the context of outdoor experiences & intentional challenges. Our programs & training are based on the foundation of Biblical principles & proven development processes with the goal of cultivating personal & professional growth that changes the world.
Going deeper… We frequently call back to Ephesians 4:11-13, which highlights the need for leaders to be encouraged in their God-given strengths, equipped to do the work God has set before them, & empowered to reflect Christ in the world.
Our guides come alongside you & your organization or community & ELEVATE YOUR LEADERSHIP by teaching truth, experiencing adventure, & modeling servant-leadership.
