The Thrill of Hope - MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Imagine with me -- you're strapped into the seat, clunking along as you rise up, up, up to the peak of the rollercoaster track. There's a brief moment of fear, exhilaration, and maybe even regret... and then you're off! Dropping weightlessly, hardly able to breathe, hoping the seatbelt is secure and the engineering is trustworthy. That thrill you feel as you dive down, jolting to and fro on each turn, rattling along the track as you scream with delight --

As we reflect on the crazy twists and turns of history and current events, we see valleys and peaks where God was silent and divinely present. We see times of great despair and of great joy. We see darkness, and we see light.

As you celebrate Christmas, we invite you to embrace the thrill of hope that comes with knowing Jesus and walking with Him in this life. Embrace the light that He brings. He will not disappoint.

Perspective

This is how it's felt at SUMMIT this year: A thrill of hope sparked in our hearts when we followed God's lead in launching this ministry, and despite twists and turns, we're absolutely delighted to be on this ride! Amidst uncertainty and fear, I know I can trust the Greatest Engineer who holds the world in His hands.

Whatever lies ahead of you in the new year, we pray that as you embrace this gift of a Savior, your perspective shifts from the temporary weariness of this world to the fullness of joy and peace found in eternity.
